Live at the moment

If you had checked the weather forecast last weekend, then you would have an idea that our New York City trip was kind of humid and… wet. That was our second day in NYC.  The weather in the morning was fine, but we spent time visiting the American Museum of Natural History.  And at the moment we stepped out of the museum, it started to rain.

Everyone had 90 minutes to explore Times Square- in the crazy, heavy rain. What’s more tragic was that I didn’t have my umbrella with me. The 90 minutes was a mixture of adventure, fun and craziness. I totally got soaked by the rain, and I felt like I was swimming in Jamaica Pond. And it wasn’t really nice to watch a Broadway musical show in that situation.  But fortunately, Aladdin was excellent, to make up for the tragedy of rain.

I thought, “Why does everyone fall for a city which actually is so messy and dirty? It is just a chaos.” The next day, I found out I was wrong.

The weather of Sunday was great. It was sunny and the city was alive. I saw different faces of NYC. It is such a charming city which is worth being crazy about. Thank you for the rain –  you let me see different faces of NYC, which makes people unable to control themselves and to fall for it.

*P.S. When we visited 5th Avenue, I walked into a store and tried on a skirt. There I met an amazing sales clerk and we actually talked a lot, which is not related to their products at all. It’s an honor to meet with her! FYI: our conversation started from the design of my glasses.
