Showa students and American college students began an experience of cultural exchange during the College Connection Program’s Kickoff Day on Saturday, October 21.
More than 30 American college students were paired up with more than 100 Japanese students in a program that allows mutual cultural exchange and a chance for Showa students to experience the American college lifestyle.
The day began with orientation sessions for new and returning College Connectors, followed by an afternoon of diversity training, campus tours, and activities.
Showa students will visit their College Connector’s campus and sit in on classes with them. Students will also be able to attend local events with their College Connector.
