I went to Asian Women Leaders Forum in Boston University on April 9th 2016. The guests are Urvashi Butalia, Feminist writer, publisher, and social activist, India, Haejoang Cho, Cultural anthropologist and social activist, South Korea, Hiroko Kikuchi, Award winning artist, educator & community engagement designer, Japan, and Lung Yingtai, Writer, critic, former culture minister, Taiwan.  They talked about Leadership and Social Action; Leadership and Policy Making.

The forum started with “MAN,” a video by Steve Cutts.

Hiroko Kikuchi went to Fukushima, and showed pictures there in 2016. She told the audience that there is not still recovery there. Besides, she showed “Counter Void” by Tatsuo Miyajima which is collection of television Asahi in 2003. The artist protested other artists who use electricity in art crafts by turning off his electrical clock art for three days in downtown.Pardee-School-Asian-Women-Leaders-Conference-240x140
